Hey, a Peptalk is awesome, inspiration is what gets you started, but action is where the magic happens!
It's time to take action on the things that will empower you to be, do, and feel your best.
It's time to go beyond the peptalk.
The world knows more about the mind and what makes humans thrive than ever before, yet our mental health is in a worse state than ever. Why do we stay stuck in struggle, overwhelm, stress, anxiety and unhappiness when we have the answers at our fingertips?
Most people put all of their energy into trying to change their circumstances because they think this will make them happier. It may seem hard to believe, but science has shown our circumstances only equate to 10% of our happiness.
We spend all of our time battling with life, rather than focusing on the one thing we can control and that will lead to lasting happiness - our thoughts and intentional actions.
At Peptalk Beyond, you'll learn to take control of your thoughts and become more intentional. You'll work on your mind to create wellbeing, happiness and success.

The knowing-doing gap is a psychological concept that has been studied for decades because it's a big problem we all face in our quest to be our best.
Information is so accessible that it keeps us stuck in consuming, rather than doing. We're bombarded every day with new ideas and insights. How often do you feel inspired by a new idea, a quote, some words of wisdom, only for the empowering insight to be forgotten the moment the next life problem appears?
Peptalk Beyond cuts through information clutter with actionable lessons and resources to get you putting what you learn into practice so you can finally close the gap between knowing and doing.
Top athletes, business people, and military personnel train their minds to cope and thrive in high pressure situations. Wouldn't we ALL massively benefit from applying proven mental skills to help us rise above pressure and adversity, feel happier, and excel in our lives?
CONQUERING YOUR MIND IS THE KEY TO CONQUERING LIFE.
Life is made up of highs and lows, successes and failures, challenges and triumphs. Your mind determines how you experience all of this and your mind is fundamental to your ability to navigate life's twists and turns.
YOUR MIND IS YOUR GREATEST ASSET.
It's your mind that will enable you to conquer your mountains, to rise up from the valleys and to celebrate the peaks.
HELLO!
I'm Nadine
CREATOR & EDITOR OF PEPTALK
I was lucky enough to be introduced to the power of the mind as a teenager through competing in elite sport. Since then, I've been fascinated (ok, obsessed) with the idea that our mind is the key to happiness and success in life.
Everything I learn gives me a burning desire to share it with others. In 2020 I created the print magazine Peptalk. I saw how hungry people are for engaging resources that enable them to rise above challenges and thrive. My mission is to make mind-conquering tips, tricks and tools more accessible and more actionable.
I know how frustrated I feel when I don't do the things I know help me be and feel my best. What I create is as much to keep me accountable and taking action as it is for you! So let's get busy conquering our minds together!
"The best wellbeing publication I’ve come across in New Zealand - or anywhere for that matter."

3 reasons to conquer your mind.
Traditionally, the field of psychology was concerned with what was wrong with us and how to fix it. It was the study of treating illness, misery and suffering. In the 1980's, largely due to the work of Dr Martin Seligman, the field of Positive Psychology was born. Don't be put off by it's fluffy sounding name. Positive Psychology is a respected and legitimate field of science that has grown exponentially world wide over the last few decades. Think of it as the science of wellbeing. It's the study of what's right with us and how we enhance it. It's focused on understanding what makes humans thrive, and developing tools to help us be our best.
The key thing about conquering your mind is it gives you the ability to move yourself along this scale in the positive direction. And, science tells us, the more you are thriving, the more resilient you are to life's stresses and challenges. Conquering your mind takes you from dependency on the outside world to self-efficacy - a confidence in your ability to help yourself feel good and thrive by using the power of your mind.
This journey does not mean you turn away from the outside world, or other people. Quite the opposite! When you conquer your mind, the better your relationships will be with others and the more fully you can embrace, appreciate, and participate in all life has to offer.
Think about everything we have in the world that allows us to live how we do today. Humans used to live in caves and now think of all of the technology, buildings, vehicles, roads, machines, advances in medicine, travel, and communication we have today. All of this is the product of peoples’ minds being used for what they are meant for - productive thoughts, ideas and creating.
The human mind is an amazing thing, yet most of us end up using our mind for worrying, fretting, judging, and planning and plotting how to get life and other people to be as we want them to be. What a waste of such an amazing resource!
If your mind is a mess, you can’t possibly live a beautiful, rewarding, fulfilling life. Conquer your mind so you can make the most of this incredible tool you carry with you each day.
PONDER THIS:
Earth has been here for 4.5 billion years.
We are limited to roughly an 80 year period here, if we’re lucky.
You are here for a micro-moment of all of the eons of time. Your time here is a tiny blip in all of the existence of life on planet earth. How much of your microscopic moment here will be an exciting adventure, and how much of it will be a burden? This choice is determined by nothing else but your mind.
If you’re only here for a short moment and, coupled with that, time is speeding by, isn’t it paramount that you take a look at what you’re doing with your mind, the only thing that determines your experience of reality?
Although we know we are mortal beings, we seem to live our lives as though we will be here forever. Conquer your mind so your precious days here are not lost in a mind that is assailed by negative, stressful, unproductive, or downright destructive thoughts?
