At the end of the Peptalk, I gave you a preview of the upcoming Bendy Body Calm Mind Course I'm currently working on. The course is based on the teachings of Yoga.
I mentioned that, on the one hand, the practice of Yoga is about optimising your body and mind, so you can use these assets to their full potential to live your best life.
On the other hand, yoga is also about freedom from your body and mind. It’s about practices that allow you to let go, so you can experience the natural peace and happiness of your innate being.
There are many different ancient traditions and teachings. They differ in some of their teachings, but one thing they all have in common is the idea that our being, our true essence, or our essential self is pure goodness, peace, love, and joy.
Inside us, there is a "happy place" that always exists. And you can always access it, no matter what is going on around you and within you.
For some people, this may sound a tad mystical.
I assure you it’s not.
For the very practical minded, there’s some good hard-nosed science behind this too.
Science has found evidence that our true nature is goodness, peace, compassion, and kindness.

As Richard says in the video, we're not creating something new here, we're recognising, strengthening and nurturing a quality that was there from the outset.
We came into the world wired for kindness and cooperation. This is our default.
What we need to work on is reminding ourselves of our true nature and strengthen our true nature.
