WRITE YOURSELF A LOVE LETTER
Last night I had a terrible night's sleep!
It's really unlike me, because I'm great at sleep!
I was restless all night and then fully awake from 2am.
My mind was so busy thinking about a whole range of random things.
Things I have to get done.
Things I'd forgotten to do in the weekend.
Things I'm worried about.
And of course, as happens in the middle of the night, every small molehill felt like a mountain.
The more I lay there, the more my anxiety grew.
Then I had an idea.
I needed to write myself a love letter.

We all have those days or moments when if someone was to tell us to be grateful, we’d feel like screaming at them,

I've been pondering a few ideas about why being grateful is so hard to do. I think this is important to address, because there's one, and only one, reason why gratitude won't work for you -
Gratitude doesn't work, because you don't do it.
Forget science, this gratitude stuff is a superpower!
There's copious amounts of research that tells us gratitude is good for us, neuroplasticity, rewiring our brain, and all that, but the more I practice gratitude, the more I get the feeling it's a superpower!
How to stop being distracted by worry.
One of the most common things that distracts us is worry. Learn Nir Eyal's strategy of making time to worry later. Set your worries aside and get back to what you said you were going to do.
How to manage your inner bully.
Each of us has an inner bully to some degree, atleast at times. What’s worse, our inner bully seems to rear its head when we’re going through challenges or feeling low. At the times when we most need support, our inner voice is anything but supportive!
Need courage? Look to your ancestors.

End inner suffering with acceptance & non-resistance.
Acceptance and non-resistance are not states that happen instantly, but we can grow them within us - using the mantra, “This too shall pass” is a great place to start.
It's a miracle!
It's easy to get blase about life. If we see everything as the miracle it truly is, our day can be transformed from a "problem" into a profound experience.
Contemplating death can be utterly liberating.
Your time here is a tiny blip in all of the existence of life on planet earth. REALLY contemplating this fact puts your worries, frustrations, and fears into proportion.
